Fake Movie Posters: Remember

Photoshop movie posters

I like making movie posters for movies that don’t exist. It’s a pseudo-hobby. There’s even a whole story behind this poster. But, that story would only be interesting to RP photoshop fake movie poster fans.

Yea, I know…

Anyway, I thought this one turned out well despite the fact I used the Matrix font. The background is Sweeny Todd movie poster with Johnny Depp removed. The baby doll head, with the glaring spooky eyes of condemnation, is a picture of a doll’s head my friend found in the woods, took home, photographed and sent me a copy. Funny how things happen. The burning house was a condemned home that caught on fire.

I like how it all comes together and makes for one ultra cheesy B-movie horror movie poster. I think this poster is right up there with Sleep Away Camp or Damnation High

Library of Congress Photos

January 10th, 2008 dawhoo

1910 Portable CameraThe Library of Congress has opened thousands of photos to the general public without copywrite restrictions. Most of the photos are from the 1910s to 1940s with many color photos from the 30s and 40s. It’s really interesting to see what the US looked like ‘back then’. Check out the size of the 1910 portable camera.
