How to get your web site noticed with back links

One of the most important ways to get your site on the front page of search engines are good back links. Back links are sites that link back to your site and give your website credibility and exposure to search engines. While page rank plays an important role in where your website is listed in search results, more often than not, the site with the most back links will have a higher position on the search result page. Good backlinks are gold - pure gold. Great backlinks can make your site and drive traffic like no other method. The hard part, is getting thes back links from sites with a good page rank. The higher the rank of the page lnking to yours, the more important your page will be to search engines.

Another type of back link is the organic back link. These are links other put on their websites because you have a good site that people like and use. Organic backlinks are amazing traffic generators. Someone believed in your site and took the time to give your site a link. When you notice links coming from websites that provided an unsolicited link, send them a thank you email or better yet, give them a link on your site. You want to do everything you can to encourage people visiting your site and a simple ‘thanks’ will go a long way.

Reciprocal Back Links

The reciprocal back link is one where you exchange links with another website. These can be great links and also prove beneficial to both sites. Be sure and mention the benefits both sites will recieve and make sure the sites are related. If you have a website promoting vegetarian lifestyles, then asking for a link from Smithfield Ham’s website isn’t going to be beneficial for either site. Once you have found the right site, send an email exp laing the benefits and providing a link, the title of the link and a description of the link. And when you get an email back that they put up your link, return the favor immediately. Don’t wait around to put their link on your site, do it as soon as you confirm the link is on their site.

Article Writing for Back Links

Yes, writing a quality article will give you with backlinks to your website. There are many free article directories that are happy to post your article all over the internet, just be sure and write an article that people want to read and choose a directory that has a category for your site. With article writing, you get the extra added bonus of generating quality traffic. Just be sure to link the right keywords for your website.

.Edu and .Gov Back Links

The Holy Grail of back links are the .edu and the .gov back links. While the weight these links carry has dimenished, they still have a substantial impact for back links. These types of back links are not easy to get, but you can do it and they’re worth the extra time and effort. Getting good back links is getting search engine results. Develop good links and your site will grow. It’s tempting to use methods that will get you results in a week, but fast risers fall fast. Having an honest page rank of 4 is better, in the long run, than a here today and gone tomorrow PR 10.

Of course good backlinks is the key to suucess because search engines like google and yahoo, will give more credit to a website that has a good quality of backlinks, and of course consider those websites that is more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query. Good post.
